Absinthe hardly needs an introduction. Scandalous, decadent, addictive, hallucinogenic, and forbidden. These are all words that have been used to describe this mysterious spirit. As bitter as wormwood, goes an ancient proverb, and wormwood is indeed one of the most bitter of all plants.

Named after the Greek goddess Artemis, the wormwood plant is said to have been delivered to Chiron, the father of medicine, by the goddess herself. It’s often used to treat digestive issues, and also used to make absinthe and other liquors. It is even said to possess hallucinogenic properties.

The magic of my Absinthe perfume

Absinthe is largely derived from the wormwood plant, a healing plant that can work its magic in diverse ways. You can mix it in a tincture or a salve to be applied to the body, and you can also drink it as a tea. For energetic uses, add wormwood to a burning candle, sprinkle it around the base of a candle, or add it to incense.

My Absinthe perfume is based on the classic spirit, which was important in medieval medicine and was favored by the decadent painters of the Paris salon. Much innovative and visionary art was influenced by this drink. My Absinthe perfume is a pure blend that honors the decadence of the early twentieth century. With notes of lemon balm, anise, and wormwood, I know you will feel transformed by this intoxicating blend. Each 10 mL roller bottle comes infused with clear quartz chip stones.
