African bloodstone is also known as setonite, and we primarily find it in South Africa. It’s a variety of deep-green chalcedony — a form of crypto-crystalline quartz with red jasper flecks. The drops of red that look like blood are really just iron oxide inclusions. Add this piece to your collection and infuse your precious trinkets with wellness on all levels.
