AroMagic is my course on aromatherapy and herbal magic. This year, we are exploring “A World of Magic,” where I take students through an exploration of global civilizations and meta-cultures. The herbs and oils covered in each class will be available for purchase every month in a special AroMagic set. Members will learn about the metaphysical properties of the herbs and oils, and how to use them to make hand-crafted products for personal use.

Each month, we learn about the herbs and essential oils of a different civilization. Our exploration spans from ancient to contemporary times. Together, we tap into the power of these herbs and essential oils, infusing our own modern practices with their ancient magic. Included in our discovery are each culture’s traditional culinary and medicinal practices, and the associated myth and lore.

This set includes the oils and herbs that accompany April’s AroMagic class. Essential oils carry the energetic properties of the plant they were extracted from. Working with these sacred tools will deepen the medicinal energy of the plant through the power of aromatherapy. This is where the olfactory system, which is linked to our deepest subconscious, comes in. We literally tap into our deepest memories through the power of scent. Aromatherapy is my passion, and I look forward to sharing it with you.

April 2018 AroMagic Set: Herbs and Oils for the Original Priestess

This April, we will explore the Minoan civilization – a very powerful matriarchy that thrived on the island of Crete and on other Aegean islands, preceding ancient Greece. In this AroMagic set, you will find an assortment of oils and herbs that will guide you to channel the Divine Feminine magic of this lost land, and awaken your inner priestess. I won’t reveal too much here, because we will be exploring the properties of these botanicals more deeply in our classroom this April – but I can tell you this is a special opportunity you absolutely won’t want to miss! Included in this set are the following:

One (1) 5 ml bottle of cypress essential oil. Native to Minoa and the island of Crete, cypress brings powerful balance, peace, trust, comfort, healing, and protection. Its warm and spicy fragrance connects the human spirit with the deepest wisdom of the universe, and also aids in travel between the physical world and the spiritual world. This oil will amplify your intentions and grant you access to the incredible magic that the Minoan civilization cultivated so long ago. Each bottle of cypress essential oil has been infused with a clear quartz chip stone, for Higher Realm connection and magnified magic.

One (1) 5 ml bottle of thyme essential oil. Thyme is native to Crete, and its magical use is deeply rooted in history. This oil has long been used to perfume temple spaces and anoint the body, and is known by many as an source of bravery, release, forgiveness, and purification. Each bottle of thyme essential oil has been infused with a clear quartz chip stone, for Higher Realm connection and magnified magic.

One (1) 1 oz gold tin of poppy herb. In Minoa, wild poppies were often used in ritual work and placed on altars as offerings to the Divine. Nature was a primary component of Minoan spiritual work and ceremonies, in which energy workers would give praise to the Goddess. Minoan artifacts include a clay figure of the “Poppy Goddess”.. Poppies have a long history of magical use for prosperity, fertility, and love. They are associated with sedation, sleeping, altered states of consciousness, and imagination.

One (1) 1 oz gold tin of safflower herb. Safflower is native to Crete, and this flower, which grew wild across the land, was widely used in trade. Safflower’s planetary associations are the Sun and Mars, and it stirs the blood and activates passion. It’s been used throughout ages for protection, attraction, divination, and psychic development.

As a bonus to this set, you will also receive one (1) dram of AroMagic of Minoa, a blend of 100% pure uncut essential oils, including frankincense, rose, labdanum, and cypress. All of these plants were native to the region of Minoa, where they grew in abundance and were used in various forms and rituals. The alchemy of this potion embodies the sublime fragrance of ancient Minoa, a matriarchal civilization of power, transformation, and mystery.

**Not all items in this set are from the civilization of focus. Where possible we gather items from the civilization of origin. However, when this is not possible, we gather items that we believe reflect the energy of this civilization. Athena will discuss in class which items are sourced from the country of focus, and which ones simply reflect or represent the energy of this civilization
