About Cat’s Eye Obsidian

Cat’s eye obsidian is an ultra-rare chatoyant variety of obsidian that showcases a glimmering band of reflected light across its surface — just like the slitted eye of a cat. The glass-like fibers within this gem produce this highly prized light play.

Obsidian is an amorphous stone formed from the rapid cooling of lava, which allows for minimal crystallization. This glassy volcanic rock provides strong protection against negative energy. It also relieves stress and tension, healing the body, mind, and spirit.
