Bloodstone is my favorite stone for pain relief and my go-to stone for healing of any kind. African bloodstone, also known as setonite, is primarily found in South Africa. It’s a variety of deep-green chalcedony, a crypto-crystalline quartz, with red jasper flecks. The drops of red that look like blood are really just iron oxide inclusions. The heart-shaped carving symbolizes Divine Love, adding properties of kindness, emotional connection, and compassion. Work with this offering to call in healing, strength, and grace.
