I absolutely LOVE the Chakana – it’s a powerful carving I use in my own practice! Each piece takes hours to carve, and a brown-tinted ink is applied to the hand-etched engraving to help it stand out. This offering also includes a base, so it stands on its own. The Chakana, also known as the Inca Cross, is a symbol that dates back to the 13th century. This stepped cross represents the dynamic between the entire universe and the life that’s contained within it. Each step in the Chakana represents a stage of spiritual evolution that ultimately leads to transcendent spiritual wisdom. White alabaster is a supportive stone that either draws things to you or away from you, depending on your needs. It balances and calms, lessening the feelings of anger and other low-vibration feelings. Additionally, it helps with mental clarity. The deeper magic of this Hand Carved Chakana

The Chakana is a symbol that contains layers of meaning. It’s a stepped cross, meaning it has the traditional four points of a cross, and within each of those quadrants are three steps. The four arms symbolize the cardinal directions (North, East, South, and West), the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water), and the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter). Between each of those points are three steps, and each step in the quadrant represents a stage of emotional, mental, and spiritual development in your journey. The upper left quadrant’s steps represent love, trust, and connections. The upper right quadrant’s steps symbolize responsibility, productivity, and being present. The lower right quadrant’s steps represent happiness, passion, and expression. The lower left quadrant’s steps symbolize acknowledgment, protection, and awareness. In ancient Incan culture, people viewed these steps as a map to spiritual enlightenment – following each of these steps and mastering each level would eventually lead to the center of the cross, which was the ultimate spiritual wisdom.
