This blue obsidian is a glass-like byproduct that naturally occurs when copper separates from copper ore under high heat. During this smelting process, only 2% of the obsidian created is blue while the rest is shades of brown and black, making the blue variety very sought after. The way it’s created leaves natural holes that are visible within each piece, each one truly unique. Blue obsidian is a stone for healing and connecting with your emotions.
