Genuine Sugar Skulls with Calavera Perfume for rebirth

These authentic sugar skulls are carefully handcrafted pieces of art, straight from my vendor in Mexico. I requested he make a batch for us so I could offer them to you! Each skull is colorful and unique, and ties into a heritage and history that is now sadly being diluted by mass production. Artisans molded these sugar skulls from a genuine sugar recipe, then decorated them by hand with bright shapes and designs, surrounding two sequined eyes. Their energy feels so real and so natural, like I can sense the artist whose hands worked to create them.

I’m also including a sample of my brand new Calavera perfume for you to anoint with as you work with your sugar skull.

Sugar skulls have been a part of Dia de los Muertos festivities since the mid-18th century, made by artists for placing on ofrendas. Their beauty, magic, and popularity has become both a blessing and a curse – they’re now so highly demanded that they’re largely mass-produced, and many fear that the making of authentic calaveras de azucar is a disappearing art form. But not today!

The traditional sugar skull represents rebirth into the next stage of life. In magic, we work with skulls because they are companions to us. They hold our secrets, carry our wisdom, and even after we die skulls are said to hold and channel what they learned from us in life, capable of transferring that information and wisdom to others. This sugar skull is a powerful companion to your deeper meditations through the fall season. Rely on its wisdom as you entreat the ancestors and look to unlock the greater mysteries.

To use Calavera, anoint your Third Eye before you begin your ritual. You may also want to anoint other gems and candles you plan to incorporate. (But do not anoint your skull, as any moisture will cause it to break down). My Calavera blend has notes of tobacco, frankincense, and brown sugar, and is bottled with a picture jasper chip stone, to help you journey with big picture insight.
