Helichrysum, or immortelle, is sometimes called the ‘everlasting plant,’ as many cultures believe it to be the flower of immortality. A flowering plant of the daisy family, its name comes from the Greek word ‘helio,’ meaning ‘sun,’ and ‘chrysos,’ meaning ‘gold.’ The Greeks and Romans have long hailed Helichrysum’s healing properties. Spanish folk healers used it to treat a wide array of ailments.
