Horehound is a flowering herb classified as a member of the mint family that blooms with little white blossoms. This perennial plant has many medicinal and magical benefits, dating back as far as 100 BC. Legend has it that horehound was used as a respiratory remedy, an antidote for poison, to break powerful black magic spells, and to aid priests during rituals.
