Our January 2018 AroMagic Set: Sweet Spirit Herbs and Oils for Balancing Masculine and Feminine Energy is here! AroMagic is my co-ed course on aromatherapy and herbal magic. This year, we will explore “A World of Magic” as I take students through the history of global civilizations and metacultures. The herbs and oils covered in each class will be offered to you in a special AroMagic Set, available for purchase every month. Members will learn not only what the metaphysical properties and uses of the herbs and oils are, but how to use them to make DIY products for at-home use.

Each month we will learn about the herbs and essential oils of a focal civilization. Our focus will span from ancient times to the common era. Together, we will tap into the power of these herbs and essential oils by country and civilization, and harness it together to infuse our modern practice with the magic of all time. We will also explore each civilization’s medicinal and culinary use of herbs.

This set is aligned with the herbs and oils we will study in January. Aromatherapy is one of my soul passions and talents, and I hope to share it with as many of you as possible. With this listing, you can purchase the herbs and oils we are going to cover in class. Because essential oils come from plants, they carry the energetic properties of the plant they were extracted from. So when you work with these sacred tools, you’re layering the energy of the plant medicine with the magic of aromatherapy. This is where the olfactory system, which is strongly linked to our deepest subconscious, comes in. We can literally tap into our deepest memories through the power of scent.

January 2018 AroMagic Set: Sweet Spirit Herbs and Oils for Balancing Masculine and Feminine Energy 

First, the herbs of January. You will receive one (1 oz) gold tin of each of these loose herbs: cinnamon chips and arnica flowers. Now, I can’t reveal too much here because we will be covering these herbs in our classroom in January. You don’t want to miss it!

Cinnamon (Cinnamon zaylancium)

Cinnamon is one of the most ancient spices – known to attract luck, money, and love. Cinnamon is traditionally burned in purification rituals, and is used to charge divination tools with clairvoyant energy. It raises spiritual vibrations and empowers the properties of herbs used with it. Cinnamon is also incredibly grounding and centering – it promotes feelings of warmth, safety and support, and boosts feelings of nurture and protection. Cinnamon also encourages self-acceptance, sexual expression, and the clearing of trapped emotions from past trauma.

Arnica (Arnica montana)

Arnica helps nurture recovery and rebalancing. As arnica stimulates blood flow, it simultaneously reconnects forces of the spiritual self with the physical body. Arnica is revered as a “spiritual sun” whose radiance illuminates the streaming forces of life. One can understand the the power of arnica if you see how it marries the warmth and light of the solar fire element with the generative vitality of the water element.

The oils we will work with in January are clove bud and yarrow. You will receive one (1) 5 mL bottle of each oil.

Clove Bud (Syzygium aromaticum L.)

Clove is derived from the Syzgium aromaticum tree. It is a slender evergreen that grows up to 12 meters in height. At the start of the rainy season, long buds appear. They change their color over time. Clove’s rich and spicy scent is known for stirring your spirit into action. It’s used to attract luck and prosperity, and to help stop vicious gossip by keeping friends close. Keep clove buds close to your person to draw money.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Yarrow’s botanical name, Achillea, is derived from the Greek word Achilleios which literally translates to Achilles. Legend has it, Achilles was trained by Chiron, the wisest of the centaurs, to heal the wounds of his warriors. Yarrow is a powerful and soothing herb, used for healing, relaxing, and purifying. Yarrow also provides you with clarity when faced with conflicting feelings, and is also used as a destresser to overcome anxiety, restlessness, and sleep issues.
