Each month we will learn about the gemstones and minerals of the focal civilization. Our focus will span from ancient times to the common era. Together, we will tap into the power of these crystals and harness it together to infuse our modern practice with the magic of all time.

January 2018 Gem Wise set: Stones Representing the Feminine Power

This month, we will be focusing on the Stones Representing the Feminine Power. You received gorgeous examples of these in your Gem Wise sets – turritella agate, gypsum rose, hematite, peacock ore, and garnet. You will also receive an engraved acrylic designed for gridding and holding the magic of Sumeria and the intentions of these stones.

Ancient Sumeria is the the birth-spring of human civilization. Sumerian culture was rooted in the female way of knowing, moving, and relating in the world. From the earliest time, it was women who headed civilization. In Sumerian mythology, the Great Goddess was set above all, while other gods, both masculine and feminine, paired in equality. In modern religions, humans were created in the image of God. However, the earliest spiritual doctrine, written at the dawn of civilization, proves otherwise –  it is the Divine Feminine that has brought life into existence. This natural truth can be seen in the process of childbirth; the most intimate expression of creational power originates within a woman.
