Keep Your Ancestors Near Set for remembrance of lost loved ones during the holidays

The holidays are an especially difficult time for those who have lost loved ones. My family recently lost our beloved dog Bella. She was 15 years old and this Christmas and Hanukkah will be the first my children have ever experienced without her. It’s a difficult transition, and her absence is painful. Loss can take on many forms, and no kind is too big or too small to recognize – whether you’ve lost a friend, family member, partner, or animal companion, we feel that empty space in our hearts.

I designed this Keep Your Ancestors Near set to see, feel, and honor that empty space with intention. I want you to embrace the emotions of that loss, let it flow through you and out of you as you reflect on the life that was lived and celebrate the spirit who has ascended to Heaven or crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Holding the space for our lost loved ones starts with my Ancestor jar candle, a white votive scented with Elder Council perfume, garnished with Lavender, and adorned with a white sari silk ribbon. Elder Council is a ceremonial potion I crafted for ancestral connection, which combines more than 20 sacred oils, including Artemisia Californica, mugwort, white sage, blue sage, thuja, myrrh, frankincense, pinon pine resin and ceremonial tobacco. This candle will open the gateway, shifting the energies in your sacred space and preparing you to engage with ancestors in a magical way. As you burn this candle, concentrate on the names of those you’ve lost to invite their memory, energy, and warmth into your festivities.

This set also comes with a Scolecite and Angelite tumbled gemstone duo. Scolecite facilitates deep channeling of inner wisdom and spirit guidance, while Angelite welcomes angels into your space. Hold these stones during your meditation after you’ve lit the candle, and center your mind on honoring your lost loved ones, inviting them into your space, and also releasing them skyward.
