Ancient Egyptians took notice that the scarab beetle appeared identical in shape to a top-down viewpoint of the brain. Thus, they were considered a connection to the beyond, to the divine. And this portion of the human head became sacred, as if a channel between the lower body and the heavens. In burial, a scarab beetle would be placed upon the entombed person’s heart for ease of passage into heaven, or paradise.
This listing is for a lapis stone imprinted with a scarab and Eye of Horus. Cleopatra believed lapis had magical powers, and indeed even today we consider it the Queen’s Stone. It brings luck, fortune, and a regal sensibility to the bearer. This is truly a gem of confidence, courage, and bold leadership. And the scarab imagery only brings an added dose of magic. Scarabs are actually beetles that were venerated in ancient Egypt. They were thought to symbolize the divine cycle of rebirth and regeneration.
This listing is for one (1) Protection and Transformation Talisman (~1-1.5″). Yours will arrive lovingly parceled for your enjoyment.
Love,
Athena

I absolutely love this piece. I’ve had it on my altar every day since the day I got it. It was a tad small than I expected, but that was my fault for mis-reading the description. However, it’s a great little talisman and is very well made with vibrant colors on a gorgeous piece of lapis.
