This set of five beeswax candles was handcrafted right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters and comes tied together with beautiful sari silk. The sari silk colors may vary – please let my team intuitively choose the right one for you. The candles’ colors are all connected to the holiday: Maroon red, wine red, purple, dark gray, and black. They’re infused with my Samhain Perfume, which was specifically designed to welcome in shadow season. This potent blend boasts notes of dragon’s blood for healing and clearing, black patchouli for grounding and abundance, and natural vanilla bean, a powerful aphrodisiac. To add to the magic, each candle is also infused with a black obsidian chip stone for protection and cleansing. The deeper magic of my Samhain Beeswax Intention Candle Set

Samhain predates modern Halloween and means “summer’s end” in Gaelic. It falls on Halloween night and is considered the end of the Celtic year. Samhain is the Velvet Curtain – a metaphor for the veil between worlds that is both thin and dark, comforting and protective, mysterious and magical. Even before I “knew” or learned that Samhain was the Celtic new year, I always had this feeling right around November 1 that the planet was rebirthing itself. Something seems new, fresh, and available on the morning after Samhain, or Halloween. And it is. On the night of October 31, we say goodbye to many things – to the spirits who have crossed the veil to commune with us, to the crops and harvests we lost this year, and to the year itself, with all its blessings and challenges. Instead of creating resolutions on January 1 each year, most magical practitioners set intentions on November 1, which for us is the real “start” of the year ahead.
