The deeper magic of my Mortem Perfume with Juniper Wood & Jasmine

This blend is inspired by the wisdom of Samhain and shadow season. Samhain is the ancient Celtic festival welcoming the dark half of the year, which was always celebrated at the end of October. It was a commemoration of the dying year and the beginning of a spiritual new year. The ancient Celts didn’t resist this death dance, this portal to the other side, because they understood how to harvest wisdom in the process of facing their mortality. They understood that when you bury something with intention, it can feed future crops and nourish them from within. The magic of this blend lies in its ingredients.

• Lavender is perhaps one of the best oils for purification, protection, and healing rituals. It calms and centers the mind and is a great aid for contemplation. Ancient Egyptians used lavender in their mummification process as a purification agent.
• Juniper wood is a potent bringer of protection, peace, centeredness, and balance. It helps you get grounded as well as focused.
•  Rose has one of the highest vibrational frequencies of all plants – it encourages soul connection and opens channels of receptivity. The scent of roses is common in the presence of the supernatural. Rose helps relieve stress, tension, and fear and is also protective and balancing.
• Jasmine is a mystical flower associated with the Divine Feminine, divination, and moon magic. Its flowers bloom at night, earning it the nickname ‘Queen of the Night.’ Cleopatra dipped her ships’ sails in jasmine to intoxicate those she meant to conquer.
