What is Ostara?

Ostara is an ancient pagan festival that welcomes spring and new beginnings. It occurs on the vernal equinox when the Sun crosses the equator and night and day are of equal length. This equality reminds us of the natural balance between darkness and light. Ostara brings the energy of light, hope, fertility, growth, and new beginnings. It represents a time when all things come to life again.

About Isis and Osiris

In ancient Egyptian mythology, the tale of Isis resurrecting Osiris is a poignant and powerful narrative symbolizing the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. Osiris, the god of the afterlife, was tragically betrayed and murdered by his brother Set. Devastated by her husband’s demise, Isis, the goddess of magic and motherhood, embarked on a quest to piece Osiris back together.

Through her unwavering love and powerful magical abilities, Isis gathered the scattered remains of Osiris. Utilizing her divine knowledge, she breathed life back into his reassembled body, marking a miraculous resurrection. This tale is a testament to the transformative nature of love and rebirth.

Wooden Re-Membering Box

Size: About 7”, lapis lazuli ankh about 1”

We had this box custom-made just for Sage Goddess from pine — a powerful bringer of wisdom and longevity. Each end is adorned with a beautiful scarab set below the eyes of Horus in gold-colored paint. Between the eyes of Horus on either side is a lapis lazuli ankh. With this box, you’ll also receive a standard-sized white crepe paper roll for wrapping your offerings and writing your intentions in ritual.

Symbolism of the Scarab

The scarab was sacred to ancient Egypt and was often seen in temples or carved into statues, figurines, or gorgeous jewelry. The scarab represents our own ability to evolve and emerge — to end one phase of existence and be reborn again and again.

The Eye of Horus

Originating in ancient Egypt, the Eye of Horus has been worked with for centuries to call in deep protection. It’s connected to the Third Eye Chakra — helping you tap into your innate wisdom and connect to your inner knowing. Horus was a sky god of ancient Egypt, and his eyes were said to represent the Sun and Moon. Working with the Eye of Horus also promotes good health and prosperity.

Symbolism of the Ankh

The ankh is a revered symbol that represents eternal life. It’s known as ‘the key of the Nile’ or the ‘breath of life.’ The ankh is a universal force and reminder of the ever-unfolding and ongoing process of life and Spirit. 

The Properties of Lapis Lazuli

Lapis lazuli brings out your inner priestess, heightens your inner vision, and deepens your wisdom. It contains lazurite, calcite, pyrite, mica, sodalite, and sometimes diopside. The presence of lazurite is what gives this stone its distinct blue color. Lapis is incredibly empowering. Its history is intertwined with centuries of gods, goddesses, queens, and kings.

• Prized by Cleopatra and ground into eye makeup, meant to grant spiritual vision and insight to the wearer.
• The source of the most costly of all blue pigments — ultramarine — reserved for only the holiest works of art. Michelangelo used ultramarine in the Sistine Chapel.
• Boosts confidence, self-esteem, courage, and good fortune.
• Helps you to develop your psychic abilities and trust your inner guidance.

Lapis Lazuli Mini Merkaba

We had this Merkaba custom-made just for Sage Goddess with stone sourced from Afghanistan. You can find the properties of lapis lazuli described above.

Symbolism of the Merkaba

The Merkaba is a powerful symbol created through the combination of two star tetrahedrons. One points up to the heavens, channeling energy down from the Universe to the Earth, and the other points downwards, drawing energy up from the Earth. 

This sacred geometric shape is a visual representation of the ability to move energy outside of the body. The Merkaba is a light vehicle used by the ascended masters to connect with and transport to the higher realms.

Mini Beeswax Intention Candle Duo

Size: About 2” each

We hand-rolled these candles right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters. One is black, and the other is yellow. 

• Black represents the unconscious, that which is full of possibility, fertility, magic, and mystery. 
• Yellow holds energies of optimism and confidence. 

In ceremony, we will be lighting the black candle first to honor the passing of winter, and then lighting the yellow candle with the flame of the black to represent the season of rebirth.

Candle Magic

Candles are fire magic that transforms the room and mood. They also clear negativity, heal, and purify. With its soft honey fragrance, beeswax has been used to make the finest candles since ancient times. Beeswax candles burn brighter and remove toxins from the air. Plus, beeswax is created by worker bees, who are all female.

Mer-Ka-Ba Trio

In the ancient hieroglyphic language of Egypt, Merkaba breaks down and translates to Mer (Mind), Ka (spirit), and Ba (body) — or the integration of spirit, body, and light. In this trio, you’ll receive:

We handcrafted this Kyphi Incense right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters according to the old ways over 10 days using only the finest ingredients. It combines mastic, Aleppo pine, mint, juniper berry, red wine, three different resins, and a few more specialized ingredients. They have been reduced and refined to create the most fragrant and energetically potent incense possible. 

• Mastic clears away old, stagnant energies with its bright presence. It intensifies magic and connects you with your innermost power and knowing. 
• Aleppo pine, also known as Jerusalem pine, is a powerful bringer of wisdom and longevity. Since ancient times, the pine tree has been known as a symbol of healing and strength. 
• Mint deeply heals the mind, body, and spirit. It uplifts moods and brings a sense of rejuvenation. 
• Juniper berry imparts protection, peace, centeredness, and balance. It creates a space of safety and comfort and brings warmth, passion, and a boost in energy. 
• Red wine has been used as an offering in ritual and sacred ceremonies for centuries. It symbolizes vitality, rebirth, happiness, and love.

Burning incense is a great way to smudge, and it connects us with the ancients in a powerful and beautiful way.

About Ka Perfume

The recipe for this blend came to me in a vision, and the result was pure and potent magic. The ancient Egyptians believed the Ka is the soul — the life force that was separated from the body upon death. If the body was preserved, the Ka could return and the person could live again. 

I created my Ka Perfume to capture this idea of rebirth and immortality and honor the infinite Ka that resides within each of us. We hand-blended it in small batches with sacred essential oils, including cistus, labdanum, elemi, davana, rose, styrax, ginger, patchouli, and many additional absolutes and resins. Each bottle also contains a citrine chip stone to represent the return of the Sun and bring optimism and confidence.

• Cistus opens the Third Eye Chakra for expanded vision and deepens meditation.
• Labdanum is mysterious — sedating yet uplifting — and wonderful for meditation and contemplation.
• Elemi helps you move forward into new beginnings. The ancient Egyptians used sacred elemi oils to help transcend the soul to the next realm. 
• Davana has a floral, rich scent and brings clarity and creativity. It facilitates higher-realm connection and access to the outer dimensions. 
• Rose has one of the highest-vibrational frequencies of all plants. It encourages soul connection and opens channels of receptivity. 
• Styrax brings grounding and mental clarity and enhances inner visions. It enhances psychic ability and helps you move between realms with ease and stability. 
• Ginger is warming, stimulating, purifying, and strengthening. It awakens the senses and the physical body, especially in the lower chakras.

Ammonite is a spiral-shaped fossilized shell that symbolizes continual evolution and growth. Ammonites are the fossilized remains of ancient aquatic mollusks or shellfish that lived about 400 million years ago, making them some of the oldest organic matter on the planet.

• A multipurpose stone that can be worked with in meditation to balance and align all the chakras or energy centers.
