Samhain kit for shamanic rebirth

If you have been working with me during autumn and Samhain in previous years, I think you will be enchanted by my new approach to celebrating the transformative power of Samhain through shamanic rebirth. I designed this kit to intimately support you through the shamanic birthing ritual I will be holding next month – and I’m so excited for you to join me on this journey.

Even before I ‘knew’ or learned that Samhain was the Celtic new year, I always had this feeling right around November 1, that the planet was rebirthing itself. Something seems new, seems fresh and available on the morning after Samhain, or Halloween. And it is. On the night of October 31, we say goodbye to many things – to the spirits who have crossed the veil to commune with us, to the crops and harvests we lost this year, and to the year itself, with all its blessings and challenges. Instead of creating resolutions on January 1 each year, most magical practitioners set intentions on November 1, which for us is the real ‘start’ of the year ahead.

October has an energy of clearing, cleaning, and preparation. Nature is about to take back within herself what has stopped breathing, what has stopped living. If you didn’t bury it, she’s about to send her spirit soldiers to come retrieve it. On October 31, we say goodbye one last and final time to what the year has brought and taken from us. It is a grand reconciliation of what you have and what you lost. Now is the time to say, “I accept the cycles of life and death and somewhere within those cycles, I myself am reborn.”

The tools included in my Samhain kit

First in the kit is a Spirit Vine flower (about 1”). Spirit vine flowers are cross-sections of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine.  Banisteriopsis caapi, also known as soga del alma (vine of the soul) in Spanish, is a potent and transformative plant medicine originating from the Amazon rainforest. Banisteriopsis caapi is the primary ingredient in a sacred plant medicine brew/tea that initiates you into a spiritual death and rebirth. These flower-like cross sections of the sacramental B. caapi vine are clear coated, which gives them a beautiful shine and gloss.

Next, you will receive my beautiful handmade beeswax candle (about 8″) in deep wine and black shades, rolled with leopard skin jasper chip stones to assist with your shamanic journeying. The art on this candle is a creation of the Shipibo tribes, redesigned here at Sage Goddess. This candle honors the rebirthing process, the little death you can have while still alive, to cut off that lifeless energy you keep dragging around.

Next, is a clear quartz Vogel crystal (approximately 1.5-2”), a tool of energetic surgery, for extraction of parts and spaces that no longer serve you. Clear quartz is also used to aid in shamanic extractions. Crystals amplify energy. A properly cut quartz Vogel crystal can give you immediate access to the etheric body. It stabilizes the etheric body and allows light to enter from the Higher Realms. Even though we may carry physical or emotional trauma in our bodies, a matrix of perfection still exists within us. This matrix of optimum health and wellness is what awaits us beyond the trauma. It is waiting for us to reconnect. And this matrix of perfection within us can be brought back to wholeness by working with these quartz Vogel crystals, especially during this time of death and rebirth.

Next in the kit is my 15mL bottle of Spirit Vine perfume. Lovely citrusy, yet potent notes of frankincense, Palo Santo, balsam of Peru, and rosewood abound in this earthy transformative blend. It will transport you back into the forests of Peru, where the Shipibo tribes cultivated a tradition of sacred plant medicine for guiding us into our death before death, so we can be reborn with a greater spiritual awareness of our Higher Selves.

Lastly is my captivating shamanic rebirth canvas, about 8×8”. This canvas, like the art on the candle, was a creation of the Shipibo tribe and redesigned and printed right here at Sage Goddess. You can grid it or place it on your altar, for meditating on rebirthing. Our meditations, prayers, and intentions carry powerful energy. Incorporate this beautiful canvas into your ritual, as you work with your crystals and other tools to magnify the power of your words.
