Over 220 million years ago, a natural disaster felled thousands of araucaria trees. However, the mineral-rich environment helped beautifully preserve these once-living organisms. This natural petrified Araucaria wood is the last remaining record of that ancient landscape, and it’s both extremely rare and exceptionally beautiful. 

It features gorgeous bands of crystallized clear quartz and smoky quartz where the tree’s growth rings once were, as well as jaspers and calcites of varying colors. The exterior bark is even visible with a beautifully rare verde coloration.
