What is Beltane?

May 1 is Beltane in the Northern Hemisphere, and on that day, we honor nature’s oldest love story. Beltane means ‘bright fire,’ and in earth-based traditions, it represents the marriage of the God and Goddess after being separated all winter long.

It’s the sexiest holiday of the year — it honors fertility, abundance, sex, and the growth of everything beautiful on Earth. Beltane is wildly hedonistic and overflowing with passion, creativity, fire, and, most of all, fun!

• Benzoin is ‘the holder’ of energies. It’s relaxing and opens the soul to prosperity, allowing your spirit guides to take hold and offer new pathways.
• White copal is a powerful yet gentle healer that cleanses the body, mind, and soul. It unites the life force energy of the Sun with the grounding energy of the Earth.
• Myrtle brings purifying energies of love, beauty, and celebration. It’s known to grow in and around shrines to Aphrodite, bringing protection and prosperity through grounded manifestation.
