The deeper magic of my October 2023 Living Incense

Did you know that incense was the first form of perfume? The word ‘perfume’ literally means ‘through smoke,’ and our ancestors used incense to scent their bodies. Burning incense is a great way to smudge and connects us with the ancients in a powerful and beautiful way. The magic of this blend lies in its ingredients.

• Nettle brings awareness and reminds you of your power to shift thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you. It encourages personal growth and transformation through nurturing and self-worth.
• Fumitory is associated with the underworld. It’s an old-world plant, also known as the ‘smoke of the earth.’ Fumitory purifies and dispels negative energies, detoxifies and balances the physical body, and cleanses the spirit.
• Wormwood aids in psychic awareness and divination and is excellent for prophetic dreams. It’s also cleansing and protective and transmutes negative energy.
• Chaparral, also known as creosote, is one of the oldest plants on Earth and grows in abundance in the Mojave Desert. It helps you overcome challenges and reminds you to grow and thrive despite the odds against you.
