The Blue Stones of Wisdom

Legend tells of “blue stones” that were thought to bring Divine wisdom and spiritual illumination to the bearer. Our first recorded knowledge of the use of crystals for healing and metaphysical power dates back to ancient Sumeria and their god of creation, Enki. The first jewels ever found belonged to Queen Pu’Abi, which included among them adornments made of Azurite. Azurite is linked to the Atlantean civilization, where it was considered a Star Seed talisman, an opener of sacred portals to other dimensions.

The ancient Sumerians believed in a race of lightbringers known as the Annunaki, who understood these blue stones to be a manifestation of the Philosopher’s Stone, the missing matter in the Universe which held keys to all knowledge. It was thought that this black matter was transmuted to blue within the Earth’s mantle, which is the color of the Third Eye Chakra and Indigo Ray, also the seat of the Pineal gland in humans, or the Merkaba in spirit beings. It is believed that the Sumerian blue stones were sapphires, and were used to transport humans to other realms. The first sapphire wisdom stones are now believed to be hidden within the mystical Ark of the Covenant, one of the greatest mysteries of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Many believe the Ark of the Covenant rests in Ireland, at Tara, which is a derivative name from the Sumerian Istara, or ‘beings of light.’ Also, there is a Divine connection between Istara and Asherah, Queen of Heaven. Angels and heavenly beings also connect to the Blue or Indigo Ray, using stones like Angelite and Celestite to convey wisdom and messages to humans today.
